Book excerpt: This book tells the story of a little girl named Hope, all the obstacles she has overcome in her young life and how God has provided for her every step of the way. There's no doubt this little girl - born in the month of Sanctity of Human Life - has a huge story to tell. Hope was born to a birth mother that overdosed on drugs at eight weeks pregnant, who was then placed on life support and remained in a vegetative state throughout the entire pregnancy. God had Hope in His hands and has provided miracle after miracle. Hope's story has already touched the life of a lost man she never met on his death bed which ended in him accepting Christ. This book, which Angie Odom wrote with co-author Abby Morris-Frye, tells the story of Odom's adopted daughter Hope and the miraculous story of her birth. Angie Odom has shared parts of Hope's story before, but this is the first time she is sharing the full story of Hope's birth, the circumstances which led up to the adoption and the things the family has faced each day in caring for a baby which was born addicted. "We want this to serve not only as a testament to the miracle God had performed, but as a way of giving hope to others," Odom said. "We feel like if we don't share the story then God doesn't get the glory." Odom said she also feels it is important to share the story in order to encourage others who may be facing circumstances which seem impossible. "Miracles really do still happen," she said. Odom hopes the book can provide encouragement for those who may battle addiction, face a crisis pregnancy, suffer from a life-threatening illness, face life-altering circumstances or any number of other difficult situations.
