Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: John Ghironte looks back at his life, including a near-death experience in 2008 that convinced him God is real in this autobiography. The fact that the author was ever born is a miracle, given that his father wanted him aborted--but when his mother visited the doctor, the pregnancy was already too far along. Born with his mother's umbilical cord around his neck, he was lucky to live. Growing up in Communist Romania, his dream was to one day escape to the West. But his hopes seemed to be all for naught when Army recruiters caught up with him as a teenager. He made the fateful decision to make a run for it and he became a political refugee. Eventually, he found his way to the United States of America. His first job was at an apartment complex near Dallas, where he mowed grass and painted for $4 an hour. Life was good! A near-death experience led him closer to God, and ever since, he has followed the Lord. While he's not sure why he was permitted to live, he wrote this book so that others may also believe in Him.
