Book excerpt: Excerpt from Recent School Legislation: State of Iowa, Department of Public Instruction, Des Moines; Extracts From the School Laws as Amended by the Thirty-Seventh General Assembly Sec. 2. That the law as it appears in section twenty-seven hundred forty-nine (2749) of the code be and the same is hereby amended by striking out the words teachers' or contingent in line twelve (12) and substituting in lieu thereof the word general. Sec. 3. That the law as it appears in section twenty-seven hundred sixty-seven (2767) of the code be and the same is hereby amended by striking out the words contingent and teachers in line two (2) and substituting in lieu thereof the word general. Sec. 4. That the law as it appears in section twenty-seven hundred sixty-eight supplement to the code, 1913, be and the same is hereby amended by striking therefrom lines seven eight nine ten (10) and eleven (11) and inserting in lieu thereof the follow ing The money collected by tax voted or the proceeds of the sale of bonds valid for the purpose of building schoolhouses shall be called the schoolhouse fund, and all other moneys received for any other purpose shall be called the general fund, also by striking out the word contingent in line twenty-three (23) and substituting in lieu thereof the word general.
