Book excerpt: The results of the AGARD FDP Working Group 21 on A Selection of Test Cases for the Validation of Large Eddy Simulations of Turbulent Flows are presented in this report. The data contained in the report consist of building-block experiments documented in a s much detail as possible. They are useful for the validation of Reynolds Averaged modeling and for the preliminary evaluation of experiments or turbulence theories. They include both laboratory experiments and direct numerical simulations.
