Book excerpt: Street-Level Apologetics: Where the Reason Meets the Road While the other titles in this series have been interactions with the best-selling published works of internationally renowned atheists, this fourth volume brings things down to a local scale. For several months in 2003-4, Douglas Wilson was involved in an ongoing debate on a Moscow, Idaho, listserv about various matters of concern to secularists. His contributions to the conversation (lightly edited) are collected in this book. Though the names of his opponents aren't as big (and have, in fact, been changed for this publication), Wilson's humor and sharp-mindedness are as bold and boisterous as ever, as is his concern for the souls of those who reject Christ. With a pastor's care for lost sheep, he calls them all to reason and to repentance. Douglas Wilson has been the pastor of Christ Church, Moscow, Idaho, for over forty years. He and His wife, Nancy, have three children and seventeen grandchildren. Doug is the author of scores of books, including God Is. How Christianity Explains Everything. You can read his blog at dougwils.com, follow him on Twitter at @douglaswils, and watch him as the host of Man Rampant.
