He married Elizabeth C. Curd, daughter of John Brent and Helen Chaplin Curd, in 1848. They had five children, 1849-1855, born at Pulaski, Kentucky. He died in 1861 at Pulaski. Descendants lived in Kentucky, Ohio, and elsewhere.
