Book excerpt: JoAnne raised three boys, a brunette, a blond and a redhead; which she writes about. She married me in 1971. She worked for the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas (UTHSCD) for twenty years until she retired in 1994. She writes about me and the people she worked with, including doctors, residents, secretaries, medical record clerks, laboratory technicians and friends. In addition, she writes about her family, her father and mother, siblings, her boys, grandparents, grandchildren, herself, holidays and our vacations. Some of her poems express deep religious convictions and experiences. Some poems are happy; several are sad; many are funny; and a number of have a deeper moral significance. Most of her poems tell you a great deal about her. All are meant to be enjoyed.
