Mediums that work well with grayscale books are Prismacolor pencils, gel pen, pastels, other colored pencils with a waxy base. For the lighter areas, markers work well. I love to mix my mediums to get the effects I want. Please put a piece of heavy paper between the pages if you are using markers (to prevent bleed through). This coloring book is suitable for grownups and children who are old enough or who have developed fine motor skills (I would recommend no younger than 8).
