Book excerpt: In this final chapter of the Project Umschreiben series we find Joseph Goebbels' hunger for power and world domination has taken Germany once again down an increasingly darker path. Goebbels uses an iron fist of fear to keep his allies and the citizens of his empire under his control. Increasing tensions with the United States has put Grand Admiral Von Hilmeir in a tough spot as he prepares for a large naval confrontation with his mentor and friend Grand Admiral Adam Sparrow. After Adam and Von Hilmeir's encounter at sea, Emperor Goebbels changes his tactics to the use of ballistic missile attacks on the American people. With both nations once again in a full-blown World War threatening to destroy the planet, a surprise betrayal changes the course of the war. After the betrayal Adam heads off on his own personal mission to take his revenge on the man who ordered his brother's assassination and the attempt on his own life. Klaus Berlitz believes the only hope for the future is to stop Aaron and Adam Sparrow from arriving in 1937 and prevent their interference, thus restoring the original timeline. After an attempt to transport an agent to 1937 to stop the Sparrow brothers fails, due to a temporal accident, President Meier decides the only option is to send Grand Admiral Adam Sparrow once again into the past. Caught between his original mission and a new one to restore the timeline, Adam Sparrow has to decide the best way to prevent the disastrous future he just came from when he comes face to face with his brother and his younger self.
