Fourteen participating agencies have constructed 25 separate demonstration installations in connection with this project, and one more is planned for later this year. This report presents a comparative summary of these projects, the history and background of sprinkle treatment, design considerations and construction guidelines, economic considerations, and specific construction and performance data for each project. Information from sprinkle treatment projects and corresponding control sections is tabulated and analyzed. Recommendations are made based on the experience gained from these projects.
