Book Synopsis The Statistics of Poker by : Steve Selbrede

Download or read book The Statistics of Poker written by Steve Selbrede and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2013-06-01 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This 3rd Edition analyzes six million hand histories to identify the most profitable online No Limit Hold'em poker strategies, (an increase from 2 million in the 2nd edition). The new edition also includes additional new content. These "optimal" strategies are verified for stakes between NL10 ($0.05/$0.10) and NL200 ($1.00/$2.00) full ring online games. Despite the title, this book is not really a mathematics book, though it is certainly statistical behind the curtain. It assumes that the reader is already familiar with No Limit Hold'em and much of the poker jargon that goes with it. It does not teach you how to play basic NLH. The hope is that you will recognize the basic truths revealed by the analysis and be inspired to incorporate them into your own game.
