Book excerpt: To properly perform radiobiologic experiments, a knowledge of the anatomy of the irradiated subject is of greatest importance. Since an atlas of anatomy of the Macaca mulatta is not available and since this animal is very frequently used in radiobiology, this atlas was prepared to implement such experimentation. A 3-kg. female primate cadaver was transversely cut into 25 sections and from these sections color plates were prepared. The atlas can be used to demonstrate depth dose distributions following irradiation. (Author).
