Coherently with a substantial literature which has spent its effort on researching for the relation between quality of governance and banks' performance, we propose a new index of governance's quality, which can be considered as an additional explanatory variable, to be used together with other characteristics of business models, in order to determine about the different performance achieved by banks during the 2007-2008 crisis.
