A reversal of this temperature pattern may set in during the latter part of the month and there by restore the prevailing fall pattern of warm in the West and cold in the East. Precipitation is expected to exceed normal over much of the Nation except for subnormal amounts over the northern Plains and near normal over the Northeast, Appalachian region and Western Plateau States.
