Book excerpt: On November 15, 1990 the U.S. Congress amended the Clean Air Act and included provisions that established research and reporting requirements related to the deposition of hazardous air pollutants to the Great Waters. The waterbodies designated by these provisions are the Great Lakes, Lake Champlain, Chesapeake Bay, and certain other coastal waters. The Office of Air Quality and Standards of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provides access to the full-text versions of the three reports (1994, 1997, 2000) that have been submitted to the U.S. Congress in this area.
