The JEE was introduced in 2016 to measure the availability of a country’s capacity to prevent, detect, and rapidly respond to public health emergencies. This third edition of the JEE includes improvements to the overall tool and new indicators based on the lessons learnt from the COVID19 pandemic. The third version of the JEE tool comprises of 19 technical areas and 56 indicators.
