Book excerpt: The authors present a simultaneous measurement of the {bar B}° lifetime [tau]{sub B°} and B°{bar B}° oscillation frequency [Delta]m{sub d}. We use a sample of about 50,000 partially reconstructed {bar B}{sup 0} 2!D*l−{bar {nu}}{sub {ell}} decays identified with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II ee− storage ring at SLAC. The flavor of the other B meson in the event is determined from the charge of another high-momentum lepton.
