Architecture is where people live and work, so its security must be ensured. However, the architectural structure is likely to be destroyed by natural disasters (earthquakes, wind, snow, rain), man-made faults and incidents (explosion, fire, crashes) and accidental events like attacks and man-made sabotage in recent years. Therefore, countries have endeavored to improve architectural security for many years. A large number of anti-seismic issues in the civil engineering construction have turned up, which also gave birth to many new anti-seismic theories, technologies and products. 2023 5th International Conference on Structural Seismic and Civil Engineering Research (ICSSCER 2023) will be held on August 25–27, 2023 in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China.
