Book excerpt: The first Reiff families were found in Franconia districts of eastern Pennsylvania. They later spread to Lancaster, Lebanon, York and Cumberland. They later moved to Maryland, Ontario, Canada, Virginia and on to Ohio and West. Abraham Reiff married Barbara Groff. He was the son of a deacon also named Abraham. Abraham died in 1763. He and Barbara had eleven children.
