The paper seeks to analyse progress and challenges in these two areas of the Regional Programme of Action for the Women of Latin America and the Caribbean, 1995-2001, two years on from the last session of the Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean and five years on after the Fourth World Conference on Women.
