The arrangement of these tables differs from that found in any of the well-known books on oils in that the oils are not given in their alphabetical order, but their position in the various tables depends on the numerical value of their constants; thus in the table of iodine absorption constants sardine oil stands first, while in the table of acetyl values castor oil heads the list.
