Book excerpt: Born At War No generation of the church has had to deal with a nonstop rapid fire of distracting iniquities as the generation that now walks the earth. It appears as though, like Herod who understood the times and ordered a mass slaughter of children from a certain age down, satan has also ordered a mass attack of young people within a certain age bracket, knowing full well the havoc they would cause him once they align with God’s prophetic timing for the church. While many parents are acutely aware of this attack, they are greatly surprised to see their own children taken into captivity, and slowly grow lukewarm with no appetite for the deep things of God and no commitment to be fully involved in what He is set to do; and to see all this happen in spite of the sound home training they have provided as Christian parents only makes the situation all the more painful. The mistake we’ve made, however, is that we have attempted to raise a generation that is born at war with home training templates that were designed for peace. Our good parenting models almost completely ignore the realities into which this generation is born, and have raised godly seeds who end up as casualties in a battle they were never actively equipped for. All this is about to change! God is out to bring our children back from captivity and raise from them an end-time army that would occupy for Him wherever they are and play a crucial role in what would be one of the greatest revivals the world has ever seen. And He wants to raise that army right under our roofs. This is a radically different approach to home training; it is time to strap your boots and get ready for wartime parenting.
